Cervical cancer
Seoul National University Bundang Hospital
number of surgeries
- The number of gynecologic cancer surgeries that had shown a consistent increase for the past five years, exhibited a trend of mild decrease for the two years after 2016. This is thought not to be based on a decreased number of surgeries for specific cancer type but to be caused by the increased percentage of non-surgical therapy patients with the increased number of patients with advanced cancer.
Minimally Invasive Surgery - Gynecologic Surgery
(Single Port Surgery)
In general these operations are performed through 3 to 4 holes on the abdomen, but our surgeons continuing efforts to minimize the pain and complications of surgery evolved into less holes, for example, single port laparoscopic surgery (1 hole/operation).
Details are finalized after consulting with the hospital
