Aortic stenosis
In the case of patients with severe aortic stenosis, an elderly or high-risk group who cannot undergo surgical treatment, This non-surgical procedure is performed by inserting a stent through the femoral artery of the thigh to replace the aortic valve. In 2019, we succeeded in TAVI treatment with local anesthesia for the first time in Asia.
Mitral stenosis
The TMVI procedure for mitral valve disease is performed only in very limited cases, and in particular, mitral valve stenosis is more difficult to perform than mitral valve reflux. In 2018, it was the first in Korea to successfully transplant a valve with TMVI to a patient with mitral valve stenosis that occurred after mitral valve replacement.
