Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) opened in 2003, succeed in continuing the prestigious legacy of the Seoul National University Medical School.


SNUBH is the first fully digitalized, paperless hospital in Korea. We developed a unique electronic information system called BESTcare (Bundang Hospital Electronic System for Total Care). One of the best electronic medical record systems in the world, BESTcare was recently awarded “Stage 7” by HIMSS Analytics, the highest rating possible and the only one outside North America. Scientifically proven to improve medical care and clinical outcome of patients, the modernized electronic medical record system eliminates medical errors, improves safety, and assures efficiency.


SNUBH has over 1,300 beds and 310 Specialty ICU & Special Care beds for its patients. Our 800+ medical staffs and 1,400+ nursing staffs manage an average of 380,000+ inpatients per year & 5,500+ outpatient-visits daily, and 150-180 major surgeries take place in operating rooms everyday.
